The test item was a deep orange powder. Whilst heating the test item,self-heating of the sample was observed. On completion of the test, the test item was a black solid.

Introduction

Testing was conducted using a procedure designed to be compatible with Method A16 Relative Self-Ignition Temperature for Solids of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008.

Results & Conclusions

The test item was a deep orange powder. Whilst heating the test item,self-heating of the sample was observed. On completion of the test, the test item was a black solid. The test item has been determined to have a relative self-ignition temperature of 367 °C.
