Description of key information

The reaction mass of neodymium carbonate and praseodymium carbonate is not highly flammable under the test conditions.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

Flammability: An experimental study, scored as Klimisch 1, was selected as key study and showed that the substance was not highly flammable.

Pyrophoricity and flammability in contact with water: Based on the absence of structural alerts and on the knowledge from use and handling, it is unlikely that the reaction mass of neodymium carbonate and praseodymium carbonate shows such properties.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on the above-mentioned study, the reaction mass of neodymium carbonate and praseodymium carbonate does not require a classification regarding its flammable properties, neither under Directive 67/548/EEC (DSD), nor under Regulation EC No 1272/2008 (CLP).
