The potential skin sensitizing properties of"Becrosan 6920"were assessed in two individual guinea pig maximization tests at concentration levels of 100% and 75%. Allergic responses to the challenge procedure were observed at both levels. 100% Becrosan 6920 and 75% Becrosan 6920 can be classified as “sensitizer” and "moderate sensitizer", respectively.

Justification for classification or non-classification

The study results showed that 100% Becrosan 6920 and 75% Becrosan 6920 had “sensitizer” and "moderate sensitizer" effects on test animals, respectively.

In accordance to Directive 67/548/EEC and EU CLP (Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008), classification of this substance is not required for sensitization.
