Description of key information

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Skin sensitisation

Endpoint conclusion
Additional information:

In a guinea pig maximization test (OECD TG 406, no GLP) with 5% intracutaneous induction and 100% epicutaneous induction and challenge, 19 out of 20 animals showed positive results at 48 hours after challenge with the undiluted test material. None of the negative control animals showed any positive effects. The test substance has shown to be a skin sensitizer.

Migrated from Short description of key information:
The test substance is sensitizing to the skin based on the data of a GPMT (OECD TG 406, no GLP).

Respiratory sensitisation

Endpoint conclusion
Additional information:
Migrated from Short description of key information:
There is no information available on the potential for the test substance to produce respiratory sensitization in animals or humans.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Dangerous Substance Directive (67/548/EEC)

-Classification for sensitization is required: Xi, R43.

Classification, Labeling, and Packaging Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008:

- The test substance has to be classified as a skin sensitizer of the category 1B.
