Thermal Stability

The DSC-measurement in a closed glass crucible with the test item showed no exothermic effect up to the end of the measurement at 200 °C. The course of the baseline indicated a pressure rise. The measurement was stopped at 200 °C to prevent a burst of the crucible.

The DSC-measurement in a closed steel crucible with the test item showed a first exothermic effect in the temperature range 220 – 300 °C with an energy of 143 J/g. In the temperature range 305 ‑ 440 °C a second exothermic effect with an energy of 310 J/g was observed. The overall energy release was 452 J/g. No further exothermic effects were observed up to the final temperature of the measurement (500 °C).

 

Explosive Properties

The heat of decomposition was below 500 J/g. Therefore the test on explosive properties was not necessary.
