Description of key information

Calculated pKa= 11 at 25°C

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In consequence of the very low water solubility and the fact that an analytical method could not be developed to meet this low quantitation limit, the dissociation constant test could not be performed.

Since the test compound has two dissociable functional groups (-OH) thus in addition the dissociation constant have been calculated using different software SPARC and ACD/Labs as recommended in Guideline. It can be concluded that the dissociation constant of substance was calculated to be pKa=11 at 25°C and an ionisable substance with a pKa above 10 will tend not dissociate in water under normal environmental conditions.
