Registration Dossier

Administrative data

Endpoint:
short-term toxicity to fish
Type of information:
migrated information: read-across from supporting substance (structural analogue or surrogate)
Adequacy of study:
supporting study
Study period:
1996
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
other: see 'Remark'
Remarks:
Study according OECD Guideline but documentation insufficient. Read Across justified because structure is nearly the same. Only the chain length differ (C6:2 origin, C8:2 analogue substance). Read across justification is supported by the comparable phys.chem. data.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Validity criteria fulfilled:
yes
Executive summary:

Water was saturated by the test item by 24 h stirring. As no analytical method was available to determine the test concentration/water solubility of 8 -2 FTI the only conclusion that could be drawn that at the saturation obtained after 24 h stirring no effects including mortality could be observed.
