Additional information

Data on physical properties were obtained from physical-chemical analyses using OECD guideline methods. The values are considered to be reliable and representative of the property under investigation. Information in the review process was documented in in the introduction of the source. Widely recognized calculation methods were used, too. The use of Klimisch codes (Klimisch et al., Regulatory Toxicology and Pharmacology 25, 1 -5, 1997) were extended to these results and a reliability code of (2) valid with restrictions was assigned.

Review of the collated information indicate that L-cystine is not hazardous.
