Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

An abiotic degradation (hydrolysis) study at 50 Celsius, at 3 different pH values, gave only very weak hydrolysis

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Half-life for hydrolysis:
1 mo
at the temperature of:
50 °C

Additional information

Half-life of hydrolysis of DPGEE was not determined in this study but at 5 days degradation/loss of 4.93% at pH 4 and 5.35% at pH7 and 0% at pH 9 was seen. Hydrolysis rate constants cannot be estimated for compounds of this type using HYDROWIN v2.00 (EPA EPISUITE).
