Description of key information
The toxicity of the substance was investigated in ready biodegradation tests. The substance was not toxic to domestic sewage sludge at levels up to 100 mg/L.

The test substance, at a concentration of 100 mg/L in a standard culture medium used for OECD 301C (MITI) biodegradation test protocol, did not result in the inhibition of growth of mixed domestic sewage sludge. The microorganisms remained active and resulted in biodegradation of over 99% within 28 days. No information was provided on the methods used to solubilize this water-insoluble substance.
