Administrative data
First-aid measures
artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give
oxygen provided a qualified operator is available. Seek
medical attention.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Immediately flush with running water for at least 15
minutes, lifting eyelids periodically to remove
contamination. Seek immediate medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash affected area with soap and water, then flush with
large quantities of water. Remove comtaminated clothing and
launder before re-use. Seek medical attention for any
irritation or any other symptoms.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. Seek medical attention immediately.
Fire-fighting measures
solvent) foam. Standard foam is ineffective.
Product arising from burning: Combustion would be expected to produce carbon monoxide,
carbon dioxide and oxides of nitrogen.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Wear NIOSH approved self-contained positive pressure
breathing apparatus and protective clothing to prevent
contact with skin and eyes.
Accidental release measures
Eliminate sources of ignition. Provide ventilation to spill
area. Absorb with inert absorbant and place in a closed,
approved, labelled waste container. For large spills, dike
up with inert material and pump into the same container. Do
not allow pump to overheat. Do not allow to enter sewers or
waterways.
Handling and storage
recommended personal protective equipment. Under normal
circumstances, rubber gloves and full work clothing are
adequate along with chemical safety glasses or goggles. If
contact with liquid is possible, wear impervious clothing
(overall). Showering after work is recommended. Use with
adequate ventilation; use local ventilation at product
handling and transfer points. Ground material during liquid
transfer to avoid static build up.
Storage: Keep away from sources of ignition. Store in a cool, dry,
well-ventilated area away from heat, strong oxidisers and
acids. Keep containers upright and tightly sealed. Protect
from physical damage.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: The substance will be stored in 50 to 200 kg high density
polyethylene lined fibre drums.
