First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: If inhaled move the patient into the fresh air and call a
physician.
Emergency measure - Eyes: In case of contact with eyes rinse thoroughly with water and
contact a physician.
Emergency measure - Skin: In case of contact with the skin rinse thoroughly with water
and soap and contact a physician.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: If swallowed do not induce vomiting. Rinse the mouth with
water an call a physician.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water spray, carbon dioxide, foam, dry powder, sand

For safety reasons do not use a high volume water jet.

Product arising from burning: Kohlenmonoxid, Kohlendioxid, Stickstoffoxide, Blausäure,
Fluorwasserstoff

"ENGLISH"

Carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxides, prussic
acid, hydrogen fluoride

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: In case of fire wear a self contained breathing apparatus.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear personal protective clothing.

Do not allow to enter the sanitary sewer system.

Avoid dust formation and electrical charging (sparking)
because dust explosion might occur.

Contain and collect spillage with an electrically protected
vacuum cleaner or by wet-brushing and place in container for
disposal according to local regulations.

The containers filled with the substance that has been

taken up must be adequately labelled (if applicable,

with the help of Technical Rule 201 "Labelling

of wastes during handling").

Handling and storage

This substance is handled under Strictly Controlled Conditions in accordance with REACH regulation Article 17(3) for on-site isolated intermediates and, in case the substance is transported to other sites for further processing, the substance should be handled at these sites under the Strictly Controlled Conditions as specified in REACH regulation Article 18(4). Site documentation to support safe handling arrangements including the selection of engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls in accordance with risk-based management systems is available at each manufacturing site.

Written confirmation of application of Strictly Controlled Conditions has been received from every affected Distributor and Downstream Processor/User of the Registrant’s intermediate.

Handling: Personal precautions while handling the product: respiratory protection: Dust mask (class P1) eye protection: safety glasses (tight fit) hand protection: gloves made of PVC or other chemical resistant material protective clothing: ligthweight protective clothing Avoid skin contact. Wash hands and face before breaks and immediately after handling the product. Keep away from heat and sources of ignition. Use only in areas provided with appropriate exhaust ventilation. Keep working clothes separately. All working methods must always be designed so that exposure by inhalation of the substance and by skin contact are minimized and eye contact is excluded. Closed, or at least dustproof, equipment must be used during filling, transfer and metered feeding as well as during sampling. In the case of handling in open systems, any dust that can form must be extracted directly at the point of origin. The extracted air may only be returned to the work area after adequate cleaning using tested equipment. If technical extraction or ventilation measures are not possible or are insufficient, suitable respiratory protection (i.e. :::) must be worn. To avoid skin contact, tested protective gloves (e.g. Viton) and suitable protective clothing (i.e :::) should be worn. Adequate washing facilities should be available in the immediate vicinity of the work area should be made available and their location indicated conspicuously. After skin contact, the affected parts of the skin shoud be cleaned thoroughly using (:::). Contaminated clothing must be changed immediately. Storage: Apply the VCI Concept for the Mixed Storage of Chemicals. Store in original container. Keep containers tightly closed in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place. Store below 40 °C. Ensure good room ventilation, if necessary, local exhaust ventilation. Only release waste air to the outside air via suitable separators or scrubbers. Maintain storage areas according to the principles of good industrial hygiene. Close all opened packing drums tightly again after use. Avoid product residues on the packing drums. Store the substance in such a way that outsiders do not have access to it. Provide for measures for the retention of product and exting uishing water. Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Big bags (200 kg)

Respiratory protection:
If product is handled while not enclosed, and if contact may occur:
Wear respirator with a particle filter mask (protection factor 20 conforming to European Norm EN149FFP3 or EN140P3 or equivalent.
Hand protection Wear CE Marked (or equivalent) nitrile rubber gloves (minimum thickness 0,40 mm). Wash when contaminated. Dispose of when
contaminated inside, when perforated or when contamination outside cannot be removed. Wash hands always before eating, drinking, smoking or using the toilet.

Eye protection:
Wear goggles conforming to EN166 (Field of Use 5 or equivalent).

Skin and body protection:
Wear standard coverall and type 5 suit. Wear two layers of clothing wherever possible. Polyester/cotton or cotton overalls should be worn under chemical protection suit and should be professionally laundered frequently. If chemical protection suit is splashed, sprayed or significantly
contaminated, decontaminate as far as possible, then carefully remove and dispose of as advised by manufacturer.

Hygiene measures:
Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing.
Keep working clothes separately.
Wash hands immediately after work, if necessary take a shower.
Remove soiled clothing immediately and clean thoroughly before using again.
Garments that cannot be cleaned must be destroyed (burnt).

Protective measures:
If product is handled while not enclosed, and if contact may occur:
Complete suit protecting against chemicals
