Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Specific details on test material used for the study:
Name: BHET
Batch no.: AWS0274J
Purity: ~95%
Analytical method:
high-performance liquid chromatography
Type:
log Pow
Partition coefficient:
< 1.6
Temp.:
25 °C
Remarks on result:
other: Test item is assumed to consist of 2 peaks. The highest log Pow for peak 2 is reported here.
Details on results:
It is assumed that the test item consist of two peaks.

The first peak eluted with a retention time slightly before the reference item with the lowest log Pow (log Pow 0.3). The log Pow was extrapolated to -0.114 ± 0.0. A calculated value by EPISuite gives a log Pow of 0.12. Since both the extrapolated value and the values obtained by EPISuite are < 0.3, the log Pow for this first peak is stated as < 0.3.

The second peak eluted within the calibration range with a log Pow of 1.587.

The log Pow for the test item is reported as < 0.3 to 1.6.
Conclusions:
The log Pow of the test item is stated as < 0.3 - 1.6.
Executive summary:

The log Pow was assessed following the HPLC method according to GLP.  The test item is assumed to elute with 2 peaks.

Peak 1: log Pow was outside of the calibration range and is reported as < 0.3

Peak 2: log Pow was within the calibration range and is reported as 1.6

The log Pow for the test item is between < 0.3 and 1.6.

Description of key information

The test item is assumed to elute with two peaks. The log Pow for the test item is between < 0.3 and 1.6. The log Pow used for the Risk Assessment is the maximum value of 1.6.
