Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Testing has confirmed the substance is not acutely toxic to fish or aquatic invertebrates. Neither is it toxic to aquatic algae nor sewage treatment plant microorganisms.

Additional information

As per Regulation (EC) 1272/2008 as amended, the target substance does not meet the criteria for classification as an Environmental Hazard.

Physico-chemical properties:

The substance is water soluble and the is Log Kow <-3.4.

Acute aquatic toxicity

Algae are the most sensitive aquatic marine species: 72-hour ErC50 = 74.31 mg/L and NOEC = 32 mg/L.

Chronic aquatic toxicity

No data available

Degradation

The hydrolysis results indicate that the target substance is rapidly degradable by abiotic means with a half-live of 4-5 days at pH 7.

Therefore:

Acute aquatic hazard: Not classified (72-hour ErC50 > 1 mg/L)

Long-term aquatic hazard: Not classified (no adequate long-term data available, highly water soluble, rapidly degradable, no bioaccumulation).
