Description of key information

Three acute experimental studies and three QSAR predictions are available to assess the aquatic toxicity of the registered substance.

For aquatic invertebrates, the experimental study, performed on Daphnia magna, was not considered reliable due to major methodological deficiencies. Therefore, a QSAR prediction for this endpoint was performed using iSafeRat® High-Accuracy-Quantitative Structure-Activity Relationship (KREATIS, 2019) and the 48h-EC50 value, used as key data, was predicted at 136 mg/L.

For algae and fish, the experimental studies, performed on Desmodesmus subspicatus and Gobiocypris rarus respectively, were considered reliable. In these studies, no toxicity was observed up to 100 mg/L for both trophic levels. However, in order to obtain quantitative toxicity values, QSAR predictions were performed using iSafeRat® High-Accuracy-Quantitative Structure-Activity Relationship (KREATIS, 2019). The 72h-ErC50 value for algae and 96h-LC50 value for fish, used as key data, were predicted at 145 mg/L and 164 mg/L, respectively.
