Conclusions:
The average water solubility (Ws) value of a duplicate experiment was 6.1 µg/L with a standard deviation of 29%. The experimental values are in agreement with the range of predicted water solubility by others. The Ws of C14congeners with different chlorine numbers varied between 0.011 and 2.3 µg/L. A quadratic trend between water solubility and chlorine number was found, with a slight increase in water solubility up to 53% Cl.
Executive summary:

The objective of this study was to experimentally determine the solubility of a C14polychlorinated n-alkane test material with 50% Cl content by weight using OECD Test Guideline 105.The average water solubility (Ws) value of a duplicate experiment was 6.1 µg/L with a standard deviation of 29%.
