The particle size distribution was determined by dry sieving as only approximately 50 % of the test item passed a 1000 µm sieve and thus laser diffraction was therefore not applicable. 235.89 g of the test item were placed on the top sieve. After closing the sieve stack and placing it into the sieving machine sieving was performed for 4 min with an amplitude of 1.0 mm.

Conclusions:
The median particle sizes D10, D50 and D90 were determined to be 500 µm, 1250 µm and 2350 µm, respectively.
