Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

A study was performed according to OECD guideline 201 (RCC Umweltchemie AG 1996c) using Scenedesmus subspicatus and a supersaturated stock suspension in a limit test of 100 mg/L (mean measured concentration: 0.029 mg/L). The stock suspension was continuously stirred at room temperature in the dark over 2 hours and then filtered. Only the undiluted filtrate with the maximum concentration of dissolved respectively very fine dispersed test substance was used as the test medium.

The 72-hour NOEC and the 72-hour EC0 for growth rate and biomass for the test substance were determined to be at least at the loading rate of 100 mg/L (mean measured concentration 0.029 mg/L). The 72-hour NOEC and the 72-hour EC0 might even be higher but loading rates in excess of 100 mg/L were not tested.

The 72-hour EC50 and the 72-hour EC100 for growth rate and biomass were clearly higher than the loading rate of 100 mg/L. Therefore, the test substance is with high probability acutely not harmful to aquatic algae. No acute toxic effects occur within the range of solubility.
