First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove from exposure to fresh air.  Seek medical attention

as necessary.  If breathing is irregular or has stopped,

start resuscitation, administer oxygen if available.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Flush immediately with clear water for at least 15 minutes.

If irritation persists seek medical attention.

Emergency measure - Skin: Remove any contaminated clothing or shoes.  Wash affected

areas with soap and water to dilute.  Seek medical attention

immediately.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Give water to dilute.  Contact physician immediately.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Carbon dioxide, dry chemical agent or foam.

Product arising from burning: Carbon monoxide and unidentified organic compounds.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Self-contained breathing apparatus and protective clothing

should be worn.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Eliminate all ignition sources and ventilate area.  Absorb

on vermiculite or other suitable absorbent material.  Use of

self-contained breathing apparatus is recommended for any

major chemical spills.  Place materials and absorbent into

sealed containers and dispose of in accordance with local

laws and regulations.

Handling and storage

Handling: Use splash goggles or face shield if eye contact is likely

to occur.  Use chemical resistant gloves as needed to avoid

prolonged or repeated contact.

EU Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Directive reference

EN 166 is applicable for eye protection.  EU PPE Directive

EN 374 Pt. 3 is applicable for gloves.

Storage: The substance is stored in 55 gallon steel drums in a cool,

dry, well ventilated area away from heat.  Containers are

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: In the event of spillage, remove all ignition sources and

ventilate area.  Contain spill and recover free products.

Absorb remainder on vermiculite or other suitable absorbent

material.  Use of self-contained breathing apparatus is

recommended for any major chemical spill.  Report spill to

appropriate authorities if required.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not applicable.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Place material and absorbent into sealed container and

dispose of in accordance with current applicable laws and

regulations.  Incineration is carried out by an off site

contractor.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not applicable.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - other: None.
