Description of key information

There is no experimental long term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates for 2 -hexyldecanoic acid. However, there is a reliable calculated value..

The ECOSAR 2.0 calculated 21 d daphnid long-term NOEC was 0.056 0.22 mg/L.

Additional information

A daphnid 21 d NOEC of 0.056 mg/L was calculated for 2-hexyldecanoic acid using the ECOSAR 2.0 model.

In a supporting study, no toxicity was observed at the level of water solubility for the linear C16 acid.
