Conclusions:
The mean of two determinations of the surface tension of a 1 g/l solution of the test item in water was determined to be 36.5 mN/m at 20.1 °C.
Executive summary:

EU Method A.5. – The surface tension of the test item was determined using the OECD harmonised ring test method.  The procedure employed was designed to be compatible with Method A.5. Surface Tension of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008.

An instrumentation calibration was performed using ultra-pure water and a calibration factor determined.  Two determinations were carried out.  Duplicate 1 g/l solutions of test item in ultra-pure water, were prepared, introduced to the appliance and thermally equilibrated to 20 °C  0.5 °C.  The surface tension of each solution was measured repeatedly until the standard deviation of the last five determinations was equal or lower than 0.1 mN/m.

The mean surface tension following measurement of duplicate 1 g/l solutions of test item in ultra-pure water was determined to be 36.5 mN/m at 20.1 °C.
