Note that the result of the first measurement of each set of measurements exceeded the result of the last measurement of the respective set of measurements by 0.05 mN/m to 0.1 mN/m; so the relative decrease of the measured surface tension during one set of measurements was between 0.2 % and 0.3 %. The first measurement of the first set of measurements exceeded the last measurement of the second set of measurements by 0.63 mN/m; hence, the relative difference between the very first and the very last measurement was approx. 2 %.

The test item has a mean surface tension of 30.30 mN/m. Thus, the test item is to be regarded as surface active.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The test item (103.48 mg) was dissolved in 100 mL double distilled water and stirred overnight to create an oversaturated solution. Due to the fact that the test item was not dissolved completely, the saturated solution was filtered to clear the solution via an HPLC filter. Subsequently 90 mL of the filtered solution were diluted to 100 mL with double distilled water to create a solution with a concentration of about 90 % of the solubility. The concentration in mg/L of the solution was not determined.
