The determinations were performed at 20.0± 0.5°C in water.

The tabulate value at 20.0 ± 0.5°C is 72.75 mN/m for water.

After zero point adjustment, the surface tension of the distilled water (sg) was determined to be 72.60 mN/m at 20°C, giving a f (water) = 1.0021.

The test article was tested at aqueous dilution at 1g/L.

Six measurements were performed; the data and the results are reported in Table 1, 2 and 3.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
From the experimental data obtained according to the guideline A.5 in Official Journal L 383 Part A, it can be concluded that the surface tension of the aqueous solution at concentration of 1 g/L, at 20°C is 48.5 mN/m.

According to the interpretation of the results suggested in the A.5 official method, the sample of Amorphophallus Campanulatus Dry Purified Extract formulation should be regarded as a surface-active material.
