First-aid measures
IF IN EYES: rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. In case of eye irritation get medical advice/attention.
IF ON SKIN: rinse skin with water/shower. Remove/Take off immediately all contaminated clothing and wash them before reuse. In case of skin irritation get medical advice/attention.
INHALATION: if breathing is difficult, remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. Get medical advice/attention if you feel unwell.
INGESTION: rinse mouth with water. Do NOT induce vomiting. Get medical advice/attention.
Consult a doctor immediately - showing the data sheet safety - in case of contact irritation of the eyes or skin, malaise resulting from inhalation and ingestion of the substance. Treat symptomatically.
Fire-fighting measures
EXTINGUISHING:
SUITABLE: use CO2, sand, extinguishing powder. Fight larger fires with water spray or alcohol resistant foam.
SPECIAL HAZARDS ARISING FROM THE SUBSTANCE OR MIXTURE: In case of fire toxic fumes can be released.
ADVICE FOR FIRE-FIGHTERS: move container from fire area if this can be done without risk. Always wear full fire protection helmet with visor, fireproof clothing, work gloves and a respirator.
Accidental release measures
PERSONAL PRECAUTIONS, PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT AND EMERGENCY PROCEDURES: evacuate and isolate the area until complete dispersion of the substance. Alert emergency personnel. Ensure adequate ventilation. Avoid formation of dust. Avoid inhalation of dust and contact with eyes and skin. Use appropriate personal protective equipment.
ENVIRONMENTALPRECAUTIONS: avoid the substance release into the environment and run off into drains, surface waters and groundwater. Alert the authorities if large amounts into drains or watercourses.
METHODS AND MATERIALS FOR CONTAINMENT AND CLEANING UP: minimize spillage. Cover drains. Collect the dry substance with metal tools and transfer it in a container properly labeled. Dispose of the material in accordance with local and national levels. Clean the area thoroughly to remove residual contamination.
Handling and storage
The substance is used under strictly controlled conditions. The environment and the working methods are organized in such a way that direct contact with the substance to be prevented or minimized.
Store in tightly closed containers in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place. Avoid exposure to moisture and direct sunlight. Keep away from heat, sparks and flame. Keep away from incompatible materials. Store away from oxidizing agents.
