Melting/Freezing and Boiling Point

No endotherm relating to a melting temperature was observed, the melting point was therefore < -60°C as this was the lowest test temperature. Exothermic drift followed by decomposition was observed with a mean starting temperature of 174°C for the exothermic drift which lead into a broad exotherm with a mean starting temperature of 300°C. A red brown residue remained in the crucibles at the end of the test. The thermograms are shown in Figure 12 and Figure 13 (attached).

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The melting / freezing point of the test substance was found to be <-60 °C at 96.9 kPa, under the conditions of the test.
Executive summary:

In this guideline (OECD 102) study, conducted with GLP certification, the melting point of the test substance (EC 603-121-2) was found to be <-60 °C at 96.9 kPa
