Description of key information

The ready biodegradation of the test substance was determined in GLP-certified test undertaken in accordance with OECD Guideline 306 (Biodegradability in Seawater). The aim of the OECD 306 test is to establish the biodegradability of an organic material in a marine environment. The registered substance show a readily biodegradability of 54.6% at day 28 at a test concentration of 7.0 mg/L, while readily biodegradability was 41.7% at day 28 at test concentration of 9 mg/L. The results from this study show that the test substance show a good potential to biodegrade but it is not deemed to be readily biodegradable. However, since the registered substance show a readily biodegradability between 20% and 60%, it can be concluded that it is inherently biodegradable.
