Details on results:
Zinc carbonate solubility as a function of pH is shown in in the attachment. Zinc carbonate is a thermodynamically stable solid at pH values less than 7.4.
Zinc carbonate will partially hydroxylate to hydrozincite in pH ranges between 7.4 and 12.4, and above a pH of 12.4, its amorphous form, (Zn(OH)2), becomes the predominant species.
