The studies under IUCLID section 6.3 do not need to be conducted if direct and indirect exposure of the soil compartment is unlikely.
The substance will be registered as isolated intermediate under strictly controlled conditions and hence, rigorous containment of the substance by technical means, supported by procedural and control technologies in place, is used to minimise emissions and resulting exposure during the whole life cycle of the intermediate.
Due to that the short-term & long-term studies can be omitted.
