PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

Alpha-amylase was found to be readily biodegradable in the 'Modified OECD Screening Test' (OECD 301E). Since the two enzymes belong to the same sub-subclass, similar results are expected for beta-amylase.

The enzyme substance is readily biodegradable and has no bioaccumulation potential, thus beta-amylase has no PBT or vPvB properties.
