other: burning index BZ 3
Remarks:
localized combustion or glowing with practically no spreading

Any other information on results incl. tables

The test substance showed a local smouldering when a hot wire was applied as iginition sourece at ambient temperature. A propagation of the combustion was not observed. The substance did not melt.

The combustion behaviour of the test substance is characterized by burning class number (BZ = Brennzahl) 3: localized combustion or glowing with practically no spreading (definition according to Directive VDI 2263, Part 1)

Determination of burning rate was not required

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
not classified based on GHS criteria
Conclusions:
Combustion Number (BZ) 3 was determined. Therefore, the substance has not to be classified as flammable solid according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008.
