Predicted short-term aquatic toxicity data are available for two trophic levels (invertebrates and aquatic plants other than algae). The acute effect values for aquatic invertebrates and algae are 217 and 307 mg/L, respectively. The substance does not need to be classified for acute aquatic hazard according to EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) Regulation (Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 and its updates).

Predicted long-term aquatic toxicity data are available only for algae for which an ChV of 83.8 mg/L was determined. Based on the chronic data and the substance’ non-readily biodegradability, the substance does not need to be classified for chronic hazard.

As only one long-term toxicity endpoint is available, chronic classification needs to be based on both chronic and acute data of which the most stringent outcome is used for the final classification. Regarding acute data (lowest acute above 100 mg/L) and the substance being not readily biodegradable, the substance does not need to be classified for chronic hazard according to EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) Regulation (Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 and its updates).
