Executive summary:



A study was conducted according to Directive 92/69/EEC method A.2 and OECD Guideline N° 103 (1995) to determine the boiling point of the test item using the distillation method. This method involves the measurement of the vapour recondensation temperature by means of an appropriate thermometer in the reflux while boiling. Accordingly, 100 mL of the test item were heated and the initial point of distillation, as well as the final point of distillation was noted. The assay was considered completed when the dry point was observed. The observed temperatures were corrected using the Sidnay-Young equation.The distillation range of the test item was determined to 67.7 °C - 179.9 °C (corrected values) or 340.9 K - 453.1 K (corrected values) at 96.3 kPa.
