Remarks:
The end point is covered by test carried out on another AlkylPolyGlucoside esters considering the similar structure and a number of cross experiments which shown a similar behaviour. A rationale is available on it
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
From July 17 to 27, 2001
Reliability:

Remarks:
Eucarol AGE SS (D-Glucopyranose, oligomeric, 6-(hydrogen 2-sulfobutanedioate), 1- (coco alkyl) ethers, sodium salts) was used as supporting substance due to the structural analogy. The alkylpolyglucoside has a carbon chain length range of C10-C14. It can be expected a similar structural features.
Justification for type of information:
The end point is covered by test carried out on another AlkylPolyGlucoside esters considering the similar structure and a number of cross experiments which shown a similar behaviour. A rationale is available on it

Details on results:
D-Glucopyranose, oligomeric, 6-(hydrogen 2-sulfobutanedioate), 1- (coco alkyl) ethers, sodium salts is a complex mixture of different homologous, the chromatograms presented different peaks related to the test material, for the quantitative analyses a main component of the mixture was selected (peak at retention time = 2.05 minutes).
The height of the peak was measured in each chromatogram using the chromatographic software of the data station.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The n-octanol/water partition coefficient was determined at 20°C according to OECD 107.
D-Glucopyranose, oligomeric, 6-(hydrogen 2-sulfobutanedioate), 1- (coco alkyl) ethers, sodium salts has been found to be highly hydrophilic, since the analyte concentration in the n-octanol phases of the partition experiments were founded to be lower than the estimated limit of detection for the analytical method (50 ppm). In this case, the evaluation of the partition coefficient has been done considering the analytical limit of detection as the concentration limit for the n-octanol phase.

Partition coefficient value at 20°C : < 1.5 x 10^-3 (-2.8 as its decimal cologarithm).
This was the lowest value founded for all the series of partitioning tests.
