Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The substance is extremely poorly soluble.

As such the limit of solubility could not be determined which either prevented further studies from being carried out, such as hydrolysis, or led to the determination of endpoints only as greater than values, such as partition coefficient and adsorption.

In a reliable test it was found to be ready biodegradable fulfilling the 10 -day window criterion (Ginkel, 2011). Further degradation studies are therefore not considered necessary.

Based on QSARs, the estimated values of

n-octanol-water partition coefficient and BCFs, suggest that the substance has a low potential for bioaccumulation. According to estimation from a level III fugacity model, the distribution of the substance will be 0.99% in the air compartment, 25.8% in the water compartment, 73.1% in the soil and 0.024% in the sediment for a overall persistent time of 444 h.
