Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Endpoint:
oxidising solids
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because there are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with oxidising properties and hence, the classification procedure does not need to be applied

Description of key information

The molecule does not contain fluorine or chlorine in an oxidation state other than -1. Comparison of the functional groups listed in the ECHA guidance on CSA, Chapter R.7a, May 2008, Table R.7.1-29, with the chemical structure indicates no functional groups which have been associated with oxidising properties. As a result, and according to Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006, Annex VII, 7.13, column 2, testing for this endpoint is considered to be unnecessary based on the chemical structure.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Oxidising properties:
non oxidising

Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

According to Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006, Annex VII, 7.13, column 2, testing for this endpoint is considered to be unnecessary based on the chemical structure and the substance is considered non-oxidising. Consequently, the substance is not classified according to CLP (Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008).
