Description of key information

A hydrolysis study (OECD Guideline 111) demonstrated that the test substance is hydrolytically unstable in pH 4, 7 and 9 buffer solutions with greater than 10% hydrolysis at 50ºC after 5 days. Based on these results, aqueous abiotic hydrolysis would be expected to contribute significantly to the degradation of the test item under acidic, neutral and alkaline conditions.

In a ready biodegradability study (OECD Guideline 301B), the mean percent theoretical CO2 produced by the test substance reached 9.2% by day 29. The mean percentage biodegradation of the test substance in an inherent biodegradation study (OECD Guideline 302C) was 9.42% by day 28. The substance is therefore considered neither readily nor inherently biodegradable.
