Applicant's summary and conclusion

Validity criteria fulfilled:
not applicable
Conclusions:
For two alkyl amidoamines/imidazolines vapour pressures were measured at 20 °C and these were so low that it is very unlikely that these substances will be present in the vapour form under ambient conditions.
Executive summary:

The phototransformation in air has been estimated using AOPWIN v1.92a (June 2008) which is included in EPIweb (v4.0) using a concentration of 500000 OH/cm3 as suggested by EU-TGD (2003). The half-lif's calculated for the main product of two amidoamine/imidazoline products ranged from 0.9 - 2 Hrs indicating a very short half-life in air. As most of the amidoamines/imidazolines are produced from fatty acids containing one or more unsaturated bonds in the alkylchain also the half-life due to reaction with ozone could be included. These half-life's are however in most cases longer than the half-life due to interaction with OH radicals and are therefore not presented in the RS.
