Administrative data

First-aid measures

General: Remove from exposure. Remove contaminated clothing. Persons developing serious hypersensitivity reactions must receive immediate medical attention. If person is not breathing give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult give oxygen. Obtain medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguisher media: Water spray, dry chemical, carbon dioxide or foam as appropriate for surrounding fire and materials.
General information: As in any fire, wear a self-contained breathing apparatus in pressure-demand, OSHA/NIOSH (approved or equivalent), and full protective. During a fire, irritating and highly toxic gases may be generated by thermal decomposition or combustion.
Fire and explosion hazards: This material is assumed to be combustible, as with all dry powders it is advisable to ground mechanical equipment in contact with dry material to dissipate the potential buildup of static electricity.
Firefighting procedures: As with all fires, evacuate personnel to a safe area. Firefighters should use self-contained breathing.

Accidental release measures

Wear approved respiratory protection, chemically compatible glove and protective clothing.
Wipe up spillage or avoid spillage using a high efficiency vacuum cleaner.
Avoid breathing dust
Place spillage in appropriated labeled container for disposal. Wash spill site.

Handling and storage

Handling: While handle the material avoid all contact and inhalation of dust, and or vapors associated with the material. Wash thoroughly after handling. Use with adequate ventilation.
Storage: Store in well closed, light-resistant container.
Handle the substance under strictly controlled conditions according to Article 18(4) of REACH Regulation. Rigorous containment should be achieved.

The substance is used under strictly controlled conditions during its whole lifecycle as described under Article 18 (4) and Section 2.1 of the Guidance for Intermediates. The substance should be rigorously contained by technical means during its whole lifecycle and procedural and control technologies should be in place in order to minimize emissions and any resulting exposure as described under Article 18(4). Personal protective equipment (PPE) should be used in cases of accidents and where waste is generated. The PPE may be also used as a good practice.

Stability and reactivity

Stability: Stable at room temperature in closed containers under normal storage and handling conditions.
Conditions to avoid: Incompatible materials, dust generation, excess heat, strong oxidizing agents.
Decomposition products: Carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxides, sulfur oxides.

Disposal considerations

Contact a licensed professional waste disposal service to dispose of this material. Dissolve or mix the material with a combustible solvent and burn in a chemical incinerator equipped with an after burner and scrubber, observe all federal state and local environmental regulation.
