Registration Dossier

Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data

First-aid measures

General advice: Take off all contaminated clothing immediately. If you feel unwell, seek medical advice (show the label where possible).

If inhaled: Remove from exposure, lie down. If breathing is irregular or stopped, administer artificial respiration. Monitor breathing, give oxygen if necessary. Consult a physician.

In case of skin contact: Wash off with plenty of water.

In case of eye contact: Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and consult a physician.

If swallowed: If swallowed, seek medical advice immediately and show this container or label. If swallowed, DO NOT induce vomiting.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media

Suitable extinguishing media: Water spray, Dry powder, Foam, Carbon dioxide (CO2)

Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture

Specific hazards during firefighting: Dangerous gases or fumes may occur in case of fire.

Advice for firefighters

Special protective equipment for firefighters: Wear self contained breathing apparatus for fire fighting if necessary.

Further information: Standard procedure for chemical fires. Use water spray to cool unopened containers.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures

Use personal protective equipment.

Environmental precautions

Avoid subsoil penetration.

Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system.

Methods and materials for containment and cleaning up

Soak up with inert absorbent material (e.g. sand, silica gel, acid binder, universal binder, sawdust).

Handling and storage

Precautions for safe handling

Advice on safe handling: Wear personal protective equipment. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.

Advice on protection against fire and explosion: Keep away from open flames, hot surfaces and sources of ignition. Normal measures for preventive fire protection.

Fire-fighting class B: Fires involving liquids or liquid containing substances. Also includes substances which become liquid at elevated temperatures.

Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities

Requirements for storage areas and containers: Store in original container. Keep container tightly closed.

Storage class (TRGS 510) 3: Flammable Liquids

Other data: Stable at normal ambient temperature and pressure.

Container material: suitable materials: Steel

Exposure controls / personal protection

Personal protection equipment:

Respiratory protection:

No personal respiratory protective equipment normally required. In inadequately ventilated areas, where workplace limits are exceeded, where unpleasant odours exist or where aerosols are in use, or smoke and mist occur, use self-contained breathing apparatus or breathing apparatus with a type A filter or appropriate combined filter (e.g. where aerosols are in use, or smoke and mist occur, A-P2 or ABEK-P2), in compliance with EN 141.

Hand protection:

The choice of an appropriate glove does not only depend on its material but also on other quality features and is different from one producer to the other., Please observe the instructions regarding permeability and breakthrough time which are provided by the supplier of the gloves. Also take into consideration the specific local conditions under which the product is used, such as the danger of cuts, abrasion, and the contact time., Be aware that in daily use the durability of a chemical resistant protective glove can be notably shorter than the break through time measured according to EN 374, due to the numerous outside infl ences (e.g. temperature).

Gloves suitable for permanent contact:

Material: Fluorinated rubber

Break through time: >= 480 min

Material thickness: 0.4 mm

Material: Nitrile rubber/nitrile latex

Break through time: >= 480 min

Material thickness: 0.35 mm

Unsuitable gloves: Natural rubber/natural latex, Polychloroprene, butyl-rubber

Eye protection: Tightly fitting safety goggles

Protective measures: Avoid contact with eyes. Wear suitable gloves and eye/face protection.

Stability and reactivity

Reactivity: Stable under recommended storage conditions.

Chemical stability: Stable under normal conditions.

Possibility of hazardous reactions: Heating can release hazardous gases. Vapours may form explosive mixture with air.

Conditions to avoid: Direct heating, dirt, chemical contamination, sunlight, UV or ionising radiation.

Incompatible materials to avoid: Strong oxidizing agents;

Hazardous decomposition products: No decomposition if stored normally.

Disposal considerations

With respect to local regulations, e.g. dispose of to suitable waste incineration plant.

No waste key number as per the European Waste Types List can be assigned to this product, since such classification is based on the

(as yet undetermined) use to which the product is put by the consumer.

The waste key number must be determined as per the European Waste Types List (decision on EU Waste Types List 2000/532/EC) in

cooperation with the disposal firm / producing firm / official authority.
