Any other information on results incl. tables

Representative HPLC chromatograms of a standard solution of Stepan TAB-2, a pretreated water sample from Column I and a pretreated water sample from the blank column (Column III) are provided in the study report.

In the chromatogram of a standard solution, (figure provided in report) 5 peaks with a retention time of approximately 4.6, 5.2, 7.9, 8.9 and 19.2 minutes could be observed. Quantification (if applicable) was performed after summation of the peak heights of the five components.

The detection limit for the method of chemical analyses used was estimated to be 1 x E-003 g/l at an injection volume of 50 micro liters.

The chromatograms of the samples taken from the blank column at 20.0 +- 1.0 deg C did not show any peak with the same retention time as the test substance.

The water solubility estimated from the preliminary test 1, using the flask method, was <1 E-003 g/l (detection limit)

The water solubility estimated from the preliminary test 2, using the column elution method was <1 E-003 g/l (detection limit)

at 20.0 +- 1.0 deg C (individual measurements not shown).

During preliminary test 2 the amount of test substance at the carrier material was determined. The carrier material appeared to contain approximately 8% (w/w) of test substance (nominal amount 10%), which was considered to be sufficient (no further data given).

The results of the individual measurements of the first and second experiments of the main study are summarized in tables in the study report.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
Interpretation of results (migrated information): slightly soluble (0.1-100 mg/L)
It was concluded in the study report that the water solubility of Stepan TAB-2 was less than the detection limit, at a temperature of 20.0 °C ± 1.0°C, using the column elution method. The detection limit was estimated to be 1 x E-003 g/l.
Executive summary:

The water solubility of TAB-2 was determined by the column elution method following OECD Guideline No. 105. The water solubility of Stepan TAB-2 was determined to be less than the detection limit, at a temperature of 20.0 °C ± 1.0°C, using the column elution method. The detection limit was estimated to be 1 x E-003 g/l.
