Description of key information
The proportion of silver cyanide < 100 μm was 46.4%.
Additional information
A GLP-compliant, guideline study is available for this endpoint (Harlan Laboratories 2011) and is considered suitable for use as the key study.
The dustiness of silbercaynid was tested in a modified Heubach procedure according to standard guideline (Selck and Parr 2012). The total dustiness of silbercaynid was determined to be 46.67 mg/g (4.7%). The inhalable fraction was 26.78 mg/g (43.1%), the thoracic fraction was 1.79 mg/ g (0.09%) and the respirable fraction was 0.11 mg/g (0.04%). The Mass Median Aerodynamic Diameter (MMAD) was determined to be 31.8 μm with a geometric standard deviation of 1.8 μm.
