The water solubility of the test item, based on evaluation of four peaks representing the compounds of the test item, was found to be 127.0 g/L for the higher loading rate and 55.6 g/L for the lower loading rate.

It should be pointed out that the given value is an approximated value, since the test item consists of four constituents with different solubilities, affecting each other. Although the guideline OECD 105 is applicable from a technical point of view, the scientifical validity of water solubility determinations is restricted to essentially pure compounds.

Conclusion

During this study, the water solubility of the test item was determined at 20°C using the shake flask method. The water solubility was found to be 55.6 g/L ± 0.7 g/L for a loading rate of 100 g/L at a mean pH value of 3.2 and 127.0 g/L ± 1.9 g/L for a loading rate of 1000 g/L at a mean pH value of 3.0. Due to reasons given earlier, these values have to be seen as an approximation.

Conclusions:
During this study, the water solubility was determined at 20°C using the shake flask method.
The water solubility was found to be 55.6 g/L ± 0.7 g/L for a loading rate of 100 g/L at a mean pH value of 3.2 and 127.0 g/L ± 1.9 g/L for a loading rate of 1000 g/L at a mean pH value of 3.0.
