Description of key information

According to EU CLP the substance is not classified as a flammable liquid.
The substance has no pyrophoric properties and does not liberate flammable gases in contact with water.
The substance is not a self-reactive substance or mixture.
The substance is not a self-heating substance or mixture.
The substance is not an organic peroxide.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

According to EU CLP the substance is not classified as a flammable liquid.

The following classification criteria are met: Category 4 (flammable liquids and vapour) of UN GHS: flash point >= 60 °C and <= 93 °C

Based on chemical structure pyrophoric properties and flammability in contact with water are not to be expected.

The substance or mixture does not need to be classified as self-reactive as the heat of decomposition is greater than 300 J/g, but the onset temperature is greater than 200 °C.

The substance or mixture does not need to be classified as self-heating as the substance is a liquid.

The substance or mixture does not need to be classified as an organic peroxide as by definition based on their chemical structure the substance is no organic peroxide.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Classification, Labelling, and Packaging Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008:

Based on the chemical structure and taking into account the provisions laid down in Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008, as amended for the sixth time in Regulation (EC) No 605/2014., the substance is not considered to be classified as flammable, flammable in contact with water, pyrophoric, self-reactive substance, self heating substance or organic peroxide.
