Description of key information

WoE approach was used to select the key value from the melting/freezing point values of the constituents and empirical observations of the target substance.

Melting / freezing point at 101 325 Pa:
20 °C

Additional information

The substance is composed of acetic anhydride (5-10 wt. %), adipic acid,di-anhydride with bis(acetic acid) (50-62 wt. %) and acetic acid (30-35 wt. %). Observations of crystallization have been made during the packaging of the product in a warehouse where the temperature is 15-25°C. Therefore it can be expected that the melting point of the substance is related to the melting point of acetic acid. Based on the empirical observations and the read-across data the melting point of the target substance is concluded to be ca. 20°C. This endpoint will be tested for the substance and the information will be updated in the dataset.
