Administrative data

First-aid measures

General advice: Take off all contaminated clothing immediately.


Skin contact: After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of soap and water. If skin reactions occur, contact a physician.


Eye contact: In the case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.


Ingestion: If swallowed, seek medical advice immediately and show this container or label.


Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If symptoms persist, call a physician.


 

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media: Water spray jet, dry powder, foam, carbon dioxide (CO2)


Unsuitable extinguishing agents: high volume water jet


Thermal decomposition: carbon dioxide (CO2), carbon monoxide (CO)


Special protective equipment for firefighters: In the event of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus. Use personal protective equipment.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions: Use personal protective equipment. Avoid dust formation.


Environmental precautions: Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system.


Methods for cleaning up: Contain spillage, and then collect with an electrically protected vacuum cleaner or by wet-brushing and place in container for disposal according to local regulations.

Handling and storage

Advice on safe handling: Measures must be taken to prevent dust explosion when processing in fine crystalline form. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Avoid dust formation.


Advice on protection against fire and explosion: No special protective measures against fire required.


Hygiene measures: Use protective skin cream before handling the product. Wash hands and face before breaks and immediately after handling the product.


Requirements for storage areas and containers: For storage suitable stores with adequate product-reception volume must be used. During handling local official regulations must be observed in order to avert impairment of water by the product.
