Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Reference
Endpoint:
melting point/freezing point
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 102 (Melting point / Melting Range)
Deviations:
no
Principles of method if other than guideline:
The determination of the freezing point was performed (visual test was applied).
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. QA statement)
Type of method:
thermal analysis
Melting / freezing pt.:
< -70 °C
Remarks on result:
other: freezing point

At room temperature the test item was clear and the agitator was stirring. The test item was cooled down to about -70 °C and was judged visually. At -70 °C the test item was clear, the viscosity of the sample increased but the magnetic agitator was still movable. At this temperature the cooling was stopped. This indicates that the test item does not freeze under the conditions of the test.

Conclusions:
Freezing point of Y-15099: < - 70 °C (OECD 102; thermal analysis)

Description of key information
