Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures

Skin contact: Drench the affected skin with running water for 10 minutes or longer if substance is still on skin. Remove all contaminated clothes and footwear immediately unless stuck to skin. Seek medical attention if symptoms develop
Eye contact: Bathe the eye with running water for 15 minutes. Transfer to hospital for specialist examination
Ingestion: Wash out mouth with water. Keep warm and at rest. Obtain medical attention
Inhalation: Move to fresh air in case of accidental inhalation of vapours. Keep warm and at rest. Seek medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media: Suitable extinguishing media for the surrounding fire should be used
Small fires: water spray, alcohol-resistant foam, dry chemical or carbon dioxide
Large fires: water spray, alcohol-resistant foam
Exposure hazards: In combustion emits toxic fumes
Protection of Fire-Fighters: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus. Wear protective clothing to prevent contact with skin and eyes.
Do not allow run-off from fire fighting to enter drains or water courses.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions: Wear protective clothing
Environmental precautions: Contain the spillage using bunding. Do not allow substance to enter the soil, natural bodies of water, rivers, sewers or water purification plants
Clean up procedure: Pick up mechanically without raising dust, using dust supressant if necessary. Transfer to a closable, labelled salvage container for disposal by an appropriate method

Handling and storage

Handling requirements: Ensure there is exhaust ventilation of the area. Avoid direct contact with the substance
Storage conditions: Store in cool, well ventilated area. Keep container tightly closed
Suitable packaging: Must only be kept in original packaging.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Engineering measures: Ensure there is exhaust ventilation of the area
Respiratory protection: Air supplied breathing apparatus will be required if closed systems or effective local exhaust ventilation cannot be provided
Hand protection: Chemical resistant gloves - recommended nitrile gloves
Eye protection: Safety glasses with side-shields
Skin protection: Chemical resistant protective clothing. Ensure decomtamination of all clothing before re-use or use disposible equipment.

Stability and reactivity

Stable under normal conditions
Materials to avoid: None specified
