Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

According to REACH Regulation (Annex XI, 1.), the study on flammability needs not to be done if the available data are sufficient for assessment. For liquids the relevant endpoint is the flash point.

The flash point of Epoxy half acrylate was determined according to EU Method A.9. A flash point of 254.25 ± 0.75°C was measured using the Pensky-Martens-method (closed cup), this value is the mean of three independent determinations.

The chemical structure does not contain any groups associated with high flammability when coming in contact with water as given in the literature. There is also no such behaviour known by the manufacturer.

The auto flammability of Epoxy half acrylate was determined according to EU-Method A.15 and DIN 51794. The auto ignition temperature was determined to be 425°C.

Justification for classification or non-classification

According to Directive 67/548/EEC and Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (EU GHS) the test substance does not fulfil the criteria for classification. A flammable liquid is defined as a liquid having a flash point of not more than 60°C. The flash point of of Epoxy half acrylate was determined to be 425°C.
