Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Determination of the Boiling Point.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Boiling point at 101 325 Pa:
292 °C

Additional information

The determination of the boiling point was performed by visual judgement using the capillary method.

At about 325 °C in the preliminary test, the number of air bubbles increased. To confirm the result obtained in the preliminary test, the determination of the boiling point was performed three times, heating quickly up to 270 °C and afterwards slowly using a heating rate of 1 °C/min.

A clear boiling point, as defined in the guideline with a current stream of bubbles evolving from the capillary, was observed at a heating temperature of 292 °C (565 K). The results were evaluated because they fulfill the criteria of repeatability.
