Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Inhalation of dust: Move to fresh air. Seek medical advice if discomfort or other symptoms develop or persist.
Skin contact: Wash off with soap and water.
Eye contact: Flush eyes with water. Get medical attention if irritation develops or persists.
Ingestion: If ingestion of a large amount does occur, seek medical attention. Rinse mouth with water.
General advice: No hazards which require special first aid measures. Dilution will reduce local irritation
Fire-fighting measures
Unusual fire & explosion hazards: None known.
Specific hazards: Not a fire hazard. The substance will support combustion at high temperatures.
Fire fighting equipment/instructions: Use any media suitable for the surrounding fires. Substance is water soluble.
Accidental release measures
Containment procedures: Avoid allowing water runoff to the environment.
If sweeping of a contaminated area is necessary, ensure good ventilation and avoid formation of dust
Personal precautions: Keep unnecessary personnel away. Avoid inhalation of dust from the spilled material. Wear a dust mask if dust is generated above nuisance dust exposure limits.
Environmental precautions: Local authorities should be advised if significant spillages cannot be contained.
Methods for cleaning up: Sweep up or gather material and place in appropriate container for disposal. Avoid dust formation. After removal flush contaminated area thoroughly with water.
Handling and storage
Handling: Skin and eye protection.
Avoid contact with eyes.
Keep formation of airborne dusts to a minimum. Do not breathe dust.
Storage: no special precautions

Exposure controls / personal protection
Personal protective equipment if handling uncontained materia:
Hand protection: PVC or other plastic material gloves, resistant to organic acids.
Eye protection: Wear safety glasses with side shields.
Skin and body protection: Normal work clothing (long sleeved shirts and long trousers) is recommended.
Hygiene measures: Do not breathe dust. Avoid contact with eyes. Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice.
Stability and reactivity
Stable under normal conditions of use.
No known hazardous reaction / decomposition products.
Disposal considerations
Dispose in accordance with all applicable National regulations.
Contaminated packaging: Empty containers can be landfilled, when in accordance with the local regulations.
